We are a non-profit organization that empowers and connects leaders from regions in conditions of exclusion, generating ecosystems that transform territories and promote inclusion. Our intervention model has been recognized by organizations such as the World Economic Forum in 2018 and more recently the Global Fairness Initiative, which awarded us the 2019 Fairness Award.
What do we do at Visible Hands?
We empower and connect actors, through capacity building to generate ecosystems that will provide effective transformation and that will promote new narratives and promote their distribution to regions where there are many conditions of exclusion.
How do we do what we do?
Through initiatives that:
- Leverage leadership networks
- Provide effective transformation of ecosystems that are triggered
- By building new narratives about excluded regions
- By strengthening local capacities

Why do we do what we do?
Colombia is one of the most unequal countries on the continent, where the regions with the highest percentage of Afro-descendant and indigenous populations not only have the highest rates of poverty and exclusion but are also the areas most affected by violence.
Visible Hands works from and for the territory, so that regional talents and leadership emerge that leverage a fairer and more equitable society, which allows Colombia to take a real leap in its development.
Who do we work with?
- Local community and regional leaders and organizations
- Cooperators, civil society organizations, and international organizations
- Educational institutions of national and international levels
- Public and private sector entities
- Opinion leaders, national, and international references
- The media
What impact have we had in nine years?
- We have trained 3,000+ leaders of different municipalities in conditions of exclusion with a particular focus on the Colombian Pacific.
- We consolidated a network with more than 70 partners in the private, academic, and international cooperation sectors.
- We have impacted more than 400 organizations with many active beneficiaries
- We have carried out more than 50 interventions with the 15 programs developed to date.
- We have linked more than 100 tutors of the highest level to our programs
- We have more than 40 organizations linked to our initiatives
- We have consolidated a network of leaders from more than 11 countries of the African diaspora around the world.
- We have trained more than 500 future high school graduates, who today are training round the region.
We build relevant programs with the region in which we develop comprehensive selection processes. We generate multiple ecosystems of transformation inside the outside of the territory. We manage to transcend prejudices and build bridges between people and organizations. We break down walls to create new relationships and dialogues.
We transform leadership by building capacities, connecting opportunities and enhancing their trajectories to contribute to the transformation of historically excluded territories and populations. We transform leaderships, so that they transform their own stories and build a diverse, collaborative, and creative future.
